Three rows, not one universal lineage
Krämer's dated list gives Pandey / Pande in a Bahun row, Pandey in a Tarai-Brahman row, and Pandey / Pande in a Chhetri row. Only the Bahun row lists gotra names: Kashyap, Gautam, Bharadwaj, Batsa, Parasar and Upamanyu. It also labels that row Kumai. The other two rows do not repeat those gotras, so the list cannot assign any one of them to every Pandey or Pande family.
Spellings and evidence
Pande appears beside Pandey in two entries, which makes it a recorded spelling to check in older documents. The table does not tell us whether Pandeya is equivalent; that spelling remains an unverified catalog variant. To connect an actual family to one of these rows, look for a family-specific record or account that names the branch, place and tradition.

How to use this record
A shared last name does not establish a relationship between families. Compare names, dates, places and original records before drawing conclusions. Our editorial standards explain how catalog links and citations are assessed.
